Amy Hatfield

Amy has always had a passion in caring for children and animals. Along with being a mom and a vegan, she is currently a registered nurse specializing in the care of newborns and was previously a preschool teacher. When she's not working, you'll find her reading, crocheting, doing yoga, or spending time with her family and many pets. Amy is also a long time volunteer at the Charleston Animal Society.

Cory Stegelin

Corazon “Cory” Stegelin (they/them) is a queer and nonbinary poet, thespian, and community organizer living in Charleston, SC. Cory is deeply invested in queer liberation, and can often be found leading chants and sharing their poetry at social justice-oriented events. They also uplift marginalized voices as a managing editor of "The Writing Fae" literary magazine and they are the 2025 recipient of the Community Pride Award with Charleston Pride for their commitment to the advancement of the Charleston LGBTQ+ community. In their free time, they enjoy thrifting with their mom and quiet nights in with their cat Gibson, as well as frequently involving themself in productions with Charleston’s Absent Friends.

Kyndra Luce

Camp Director
Kyndra has a BS in Outdoor Education from Appalachian State University and an MEd in Recreation Administration from UGA. She has worked with kids in outdoor programs and adventure camps since 1998. As a lead camp counselor, Kyndra is certified in Wilderness First Aid, CPR and D2L, and holds additional certifications from American Camp Association in LGBTQIA+ Safe Spaces.

Michelin Henderson

Michelin earned her Master’s degree in Social Work from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke and works as a Community Health Educator at Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, where she teaches healthy relationships and sexual health to LGBTQIA+ youth. Based in Fayetteville, North Carolina, Michelin teaches across both the Carolinas and Virginias, working to create safe, informed spaces for LGBTQ+ young people. With a background in case management at Volunteers of America, where she assisted unhoused veterans through a specialized grant, Michelin is deeply committed to empowering marginalized communities and promoting inclusion and equity. She has dedicated her career to advocating for those in need, working to ensure everyone has access to the support and resources they deserve. In her free time, Michelin enjoys spending time with her partner and their four dogs: two Great Danes, an Australian Shepherd, and a French Bulldog.

Stephanie Masline

Stephanie first stumbled onto queer joy while performing in community musical productions in high school and has dedicated her education and career to expanding rights, healthcare access, and opportunities for the LGBTQI+ community ever since. Currently completing her Masters in Public Health at MUSC, she hopes to work in community program development or policy. In the community, Stephanie volunteers at the South Carolina Aquarium, performs improv, sings with a church choir, crafts, and enjoys cuddling with her elderly cat Sherlock.

Tupelo Hassman

Tupelo is a writer and educator living in Charleston while teaching in California in the English Departments of CSUEB and Santa Monica College. She has an MFA in Fiction from Columbia University's School of the Arts and a BA in English from the University of Southern California, with a minor in Social Work emphasizing Children and Families in Urban America. Tupelo has published three novels, two with Farrar, Straus and Giroux, GIRLCHILD (2012), and, GODS WITH A LITTLE G (2019), and BREAST MILK with Quiet Lightning (2014).

Denise Helton

Denise has an MA in History and an MLIS in Library and Information Science. Aside from being a Member at Large on the Board of QT Camp, she volunteers with other organizations such as WAF, Planned Parenthood, PSAF, and SC Tenant Union.

Katy Richardson

Katy has a BA in Social Justice: The South As a Case Study from Duke University, an MD from Stanford University, and an MPH from Johns Hopkins University. She is a family physician by training and currently works in public health. In addition to serving as Board Treasurer for QT Camp, Katy enjoys travelling, reading, birding, and hanging out with her husband and three children.

Max Storm
President

Max Storm (they/them) is a trans-nonbinary, pansexual human rights advocate and has been living, volunteering, and engaging in LGBTQIA+ spaces in South Carolina for nine years. As a survivor of childhood abuse and eight years of foster care, youth wellness and LTGBQA+ safety is a deeply personal lifelong quest. They are privileged to serve as the QT Camp Board President, and are in reasonably good standing with their cat, dog, and assorted fish.

Nadia Klincewicz

Education Coordinator
Nadia is the Community Health Educator for the Teen Connections Program at Planned Parenthood. The program promotes inclusive, evidence-based education for youth in the Charleston area. She is specifically trained in educational curricula that center the queer experience.

Sydney van Bulck
Member at Large

Sydney graduated from the College of Charleston with a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education. She spent twelve years teaching for Charleston County School District. She now sits on the board of Charleston County First Steps, the board for the The Lowcountry League of Women Voters, and is the co-chair of the School Governance Committee for Charleston Area Justice Ministry. She has always centered her advocacy around children, especially those who have been disenfranchised.
