Make a Difference
Our goal September 1st - December 31st is to fund our 2027 camp season.
In 2026, QT Camp had 65 campers registered across five sessions — more than we’ve ever had! We added “Library Quest” camp, created by campers, with a drag story hour event for families. We also enhanced our Adventure and Action camps with partnerships with local LGBTQIA+ organizations. At QT Camp, children are able to learn and grow in inclusive spaces, with affirming caregivers, mentors, and friends, to become their authentic selves. These community partnerships are also key to the growth of QT Camp.
QT Camp's Founder, Kyndra Luce, won the LGBTQIA+ Professional of the Year award from Carolinas LGBT+ Chamber of Commerce this spring, highlighting the importance of this work and the impact of creating dedicated spaces for queer and trans youth. QT Camp also received the 2026 Rainbows Pride Award from MUSC and the Charleston Riverdogs "for significant contributions the LGBTQIA+ community."
We have also:
-
continued our work with other community organizations, like Alliance for Full Acceptance, We Are Family, and Planned Parenthood.
-
developed a clearer structure for supporting and educating caregivers during the camp season and year-round.
-
strengthened our board and its procedures and policies to better support the QT Camp Staff and our campers.
This growth is phenomenal and we want it to continue. We have the space, in our hearts and on the QT van, to serve more youth than ever before. With your help, we can get there. Please give generously.
In community,
Kyndra Luce

Creative Fundraising
Shout out, and a huge thank you, to our camper J, who hosted a “birthday party gorilla tag fundraiser.” (Yes, I had to ask what what was.)
J asked for donations for every gorilla tagged during online game play on their birthday. They raised their own camp tuition and 12 more!
Thank you, J and family, for a creative, thoughtful, amazing support for QT Camp and fellow campers.
