Welcome
Caregivers
QT Camp creates affirming communities for LGBTQIA+ children and families through camp programs focusing on education, empowerment, and self-advocacy.
Daily Schedule
Every day is a field trip!
Caregivers meet your van at 8:30 am and 3:00 pm. Location is not published, for camper safety. Contact us during registration.
Campers usually have a planned adventure in the morning, a lesson from Teen Connections, and afternoon "free time" for games, crafts, and more camp fun.

Sensory Needs
It's hot, and loud, and sandy... our campers with sensory needs can succeed at camp! Contact the Camp Director ahead of time with anything your camper needs. A couple tips include:
-
Our schedule is pretty loose. We'll provide visuals reminders each day. Consider wearing a watch, for help managing the schedule (since campers won't have phones)
-
Pack clothing and food options - see packing list.
-
The van can feel noisy and crowded. Let us know if you need to sit up front. Bring a personal fan, headphones, ear plugs, or blanket.
Taking breaks can be tricky, since we don't have a location. Participation in activities is always optional, but campers do need to stay near the group at all times.
Safety
QT Camp meets the American Camp Association standards, including administration, safety, and program design. Admin attend national conferences and complete continuing education courses in camp management.

Frequently asked questions
“I loved seeing my kids joyfully connect with others. At the end of the day, my oldest kid had more energy and was more at ease because she was not choosing to mask as she so often has to do in a school or other peer-group settings. The fact that she was up and ready to go to camp EVERY SINGLE day blew my mind.
Upon reflection, I see what an incredible difference in energy and bandwidth affirming spaces and experiences like QT Camp can offer. I only wish my children had similar experiences in school. The care and attention given to meeting campers where they are and making the space exclusively for kids who identify as LGBTQIA+ is sooooo very important from a caregiver perspective.”
