Q. Who is this advice for? 

A. Cosmo’s advice is for anyone who raises, nurtures, guides, mentors, supports, and/or worries their heart sick about how to raise, nurture, guide, mentor, and support LGBTQIA+ kiddos and all kiddos fighting to be here and be themselves during (gestures wildly about with furry arms) all that is happening today.

Q. What are Cosmo’s qualifications? 

A. Cosmo’s foraging for wisdom has led them down many a dark parenting alley and back wood, from country towns to urban centers, into root cellars and up ivory towers. Cosmo brings the lessons gathered from these quests to their role as QTC’s advice raccoon, plus, remarkably opposable thumbs for a non-human mammal. And potatoes! There were potatoes in the root cellar. Yum. 

Q. What are Cosmo’s parenting philosophies? 

A. Cosmo’s parenting philosophy has evolved since first becoming a parent raccoon and devouring all the parenting books that could be found in the bin behind a defunct Books-a-Million. Cosmo has since lit the contents of the bin on fire. They did not taste good at all. In terms of philosophies, this puts Cosmo somewhere between what might have been Heidegger’s parenting philosophy, “We are parenting unfolding,” and Wu-Tang Clan’s RZA, “We form like Voltron.” 

Like QT Camp and Wu-Tang Clan, though maybe not so much like Heidegger, Cosmo is for the children. 

Q. What political or religious affiliations impact Cosmo’s advice? 

A. Only one: THE ONE PIECE IS REAL.

A. Cosmo is someone who loves you and knows you can do this, no matter what.
